BEEN hosted an informative one-day workshop in Jomsom, bringing together partner municipalities from the cold bio-climatic zone of Gandaki Province. The workshop aimed to explore existing policy provisions and support these partner municipalities in developing by-laws that integrate and prioritize Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy (RE) measures. Esteemed Chairpersons from all five partner municipalities – Annapurna Rural Municipality, Chame Rural Municipality, Varagung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality, Gharapjhong Rural Municipality and Lomanthang Rural Municipality provided invaluable insights, paving the way for future collaborations toward a sustainable and resilient building sector in the region.
