In the warm temperate heart of Nepal,
Bharatpur Metropolitan City Office has taken a major step toward energy efficient building practices. Through a focused 3-day training under the BEEN Project , municipal technical staff and design MSMEs enhanced their skills in climate-responsive, energy-efficient building design and construction. Tailored to Bharatpur’s unique climate, the training equipped participants with practical tools and strategies to implement Energy Efficiency Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the municipal building process. Bharatpur Metropolitan City has formally approved these SOPs—demonstrating its strong commitment to an energy-efficient future and aligning with national efforts to mainstream energy efficiency in the building sector.
