BEEN has commenced a 3-day training on Energy-Efficient Building Design for technical staff and design MSMEs from Kushma, Beni, and Baglung Municipalities of Bagmati Province. The focus is on strengthening on-the-ground capacity to apply Energy Efficiency Bylaws through practical design and construction approaches.
The training program was inaugurated in the presence of:
• Mr. Basanta Kumar Shrestha, Mayor, Baglung Municipality
• Mr. Kiran Poudel, Chief Administrative Officer, Kushma Municipality
• Mr. Ranjan Prakash Shrestha, Senior Project Manager, EU Delegation to Nepal
As these municipalities have already adopted the EE bylaws, participants are now exploring design solutions, compliance pathways, and implementation tools that support energy-efficient buildings within local systems. This collaborative learning space reflects a growing commitment to embed energy efficiency into municipal processes, ensuring that sustainability is not just planned, but practiced.
