On 11th February 2026, the BUILDING Energy Efficiency in Nepal (BEEN) Project proudly celebrated its Closing Workshop, marking four transformative years of advancing energy efficiency in Nepal’s building sector. The formal session was inaugurated by Mr. Gopal Prasad Sigdel, Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development, and Her Excellency Veronique Lorenzo, Ambassador European Union. The discussion explored policy integration, financing mechanisms, private sector engagement, role of municipalities and support of development partners in scaling up energy efficiency across Nepal’s building sector. As BEEN concludes, its impact continues through strengthened policies, empowered municipalities, skilled MSMEs and practical tools shaping sustainable future for Nepal.
